Privacy at a glance
APIS keeps data use lightweight. This page explains what we store, what we do not, and how feedback is used.
What APIS stores
- Paper metadata from arXiv, including titles, abstracts, authors, links, categories, and ranking information.
- The feedback you submit, including quick reactions and optional notes.
- A browser-level anonymous id in a cookie if you leave feedback without signing in.
What APIS does not store
- APIS does not collect payment information.
- Anonymous feedback ids are not email addresses.
- If sign-in is unavailable, APIS is not storing account passwords itself.
How Feedback Is Used
- Feedback helps improve ranking quality, summaries, topic labels, and future recommendations.
- Admin-only tools may show your feedback next to the related paper so issues can be fixed quickly.
- The public daily list stays separate from personal feedback signals.
